We did a full day guided hike thru Resurrection Bay/ Alpine Trail. Beautiful scenery beyond what photos do justice. Great hike up to approx 1,100 where we enjoyed lunch overlooking the forest, water, mountains, etc. But the highlight of our day was our guide Erick! Not only is he soooooo incredibly knowledgeable about the landscape, he’s just a cool human who offered great conversation the entire duration of our day. Highly recommend this trip - and recommend asking for Erick as your guide!!

If you can swing the two-day Aialik Paddle + High-Alpine Hike schedule- and financial-wise, ABSOLUTELY DO. IT! We had such an amazing time with Kayak Adventures Worldwide & Seward Wilderness Collective (they're sister companies!). This is a great way to see more of Alaska, learn about stewardship and the Native American peoples who call Seward home first, and get outside in a whole new way. Our guide, Anna, is so knowledgeable, a great teacher, and definitely knows her way on the water too. We felt safe the whole time, came away having learned so much, and feel full of gratitude for such an amazing opportunity to explore Alaska that wouldn't have been possible without KAW/SWC. Life-changing trip. I know we got crazy lucky with weather and seeing wild life, but truly. KAW/SWC make this so accessible and possible through a lot of love and care. Go with them for a guided trip for sure!

I went on the Mount Marathon hike with my husband, brother, and dad in mid-August. Our guide Eric was fantastic! The hike itself provided great views. The fog crept in within minutes of us making it to the bowl, so our view did not last long, but it was pretty cool to see the transformation and watch how quickly and densely it moved in. While the hike was beautiful and a good challenge, the best part was all the laughs and time spent with my family. Eric made it so enjoyable. He was entertaining and was really knowledgeable!
